DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Two men were arrested on Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery at a jewelry store, according to Swatara Township police.
Police say Zulivar Camacho-Garcia, 26, and Yeremy Regalado-Cuello, 35, are both Venezuelan citizens who are undocumented migrants in the U.S.
The two are accused of robbing Nepal Jewelry Store in Swatara Township on June 19, according to police. Investigators believe they are part of a larger group that has committed multiple armed robberies throughout several states.
Camacho-Garcia and Regalado-Cuello were arrested in Cumberland County, and police expect additional arrests will be made as the investigation continues.
They are both charged with several counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, corrupt organizations, and related charges, according to their criminal dockets.
Bail was denied in both cases “due to the violent nature of the crimes and their elevated flight risk,” according to Swatara Township police. They are being held in Dauphin County Prison ahead of their preliminary hearings.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are expected to lodge detainers against Camacho-Garcia and Regalado-Cuello for federal immigration violations, police said.
