Video: Congressional Candidate Commits Fraud Against Jeweler

New York, NY – On February 12, 2018, congressional candidate Juliet Germanotta was arrested after she tried to defraud a jeweler.

On September 19, 2017, Germanotta purchased a $4,800 ring from a jeweler in Manhattan, NY. Once she received the ring, Germanotta said she did not like the ring and wanted a refund.

Rather than send back the real ring, Germanotta returned a fake $10 ring. The jeweler filed a police report with the New York Police Department (NYPD) on October 2, 2017.

NYPD detectives obtained a warrant and arrested Germonatta in Wisconsin. On February 14, 2018, Germonatta was extradited to the Midtown North Precinct.

Germonatta is an ordained minister and is campaigning as a Democrat against Rep. Ron Kind.
