SMASH AND GRAB ROBBERIES – WEST CHESTER, OH

On 5/29/18, at approximately 8:45 p.m., two subjects smashed a jewelry store’s glass display case which contained diamond rings. One of the subjects took several rings and placed them into a bag. The subjects were described as Black males dressed in all black. They fled in a dark grey car, believed to be a Chevrolet Impala or a Chevrolet Malibu.

On 5/30/18, at approximately 12:30 p.m., there was an attempted jewelry store robbery in Sycamore Township, OH. In that incident, the robber tried to smash a jewelry display case with a hammer. He then fled after the failed attempt. At the time of the incident, people believed there was an active shooter, which led to a large group of people running from the area. Hamilton County deputies determined there was no shooter. The subject was described as a 30-year-old Black male. He was last seen wearing black clothes and a black scarf on his head.
