Shots fired during smash & grab robbery

Dallas, TX - On November 9, 2018, at approximately 2:20 p.m., four subjects attempted to commit a smash and grab robbery of a jewelry store.

Upon entering the store, one of the subjects started hitting a jewelry case with a sledgehammer. At that point, an employee heard the loud noise and went to investigate. One of the subjects in the group shot at the employee. The four subjects then ran to an awaiting van.

A security guard who works at a nearby store saw them drive away. He then fired his weapon at them. No one was injured. If you have any information regarding this subject, please call the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at 212-687-0328.
