Jeweler Stages Robbery

Miami, FL – On April 5, 2019, 46-year-old jewelry store owner, Levon Papikyan, was charged with filing a police report. He was also accused of staging a robbery.

Between February 20th and 21st, 2019, two customers entrusted $80,000 worth of gold bars to Papikyan, with the understanding that he would sell them. On February 21, Papikyan told police that he was robbed in his store and the subject used pepper spray to subdue him.

Police noted inconsistencies in Papikyan’s story and charged him with filing a false police report.
