Five suspects arrested & one suspect shot after exchange of gunfire

March 26, 2020 - Corpus Christi, TX

On the date listed above, five suspects attempted to rob a jewelry store in Corpus Christi, TX.

One of the suspects, a 20-year-old male, entered the jewelry store and fired his gun. A store employee fired back at the suspect and hit him. The suspect then ran out of the store and he was eventually apprehended by police. He sustained non-life threatening injuries. His accomplices fled into a getaway vehicle, and they were subsequently arrested as well.

The suspects in custody were identified as Michael Alvarado, 18; Raymond Gonzalez, 27; Jayden Gutierrez, 17; and Jimmy Hernandez, 21.
