SUSPECT RELEASED BECAUSE OF COVID-19 COMMITS MORE CRIMES – IA

On 2/6/20, 21-year-old Mason Bernie Galvan, stole a bracelet and two chains from a jewelry store in West Des Moines, IA. Those items were valued at more than $11,000. On 3/6/20, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Galvan used a brick to break the window of a jewelry store in West Des Moines. In that incident, he stole high-end watches. Two days later Galvan attempted to target the same store at 11:00 p.m, but the owner was in the store and scared him off.

On 3/9/20, Galvan was arrested after he stole a vehicle from a parking lot. Galvan was released on 3/27/20 because of COVID-19. On 4/14/20, Galvan committed more crimes in which he broke into a car and stole credit cards. He was arrested on 5/5/20. Click here to see his mugshot and to read about his most recent charges.
