SUBJECT FORCEFULLY TAKES CHAIN – ALBUQUERQUE, NM

On 9/13/21, a male subject scratched a jewelry store’s team member as he fled with a gold chain. The subject entered the store and asked to see a gold chain in particular. The team member pulled the gold chain out of the case and had it wrapped around her hand as she was showing it to the subject. The subject then grabbed it out of her hand and scratched the team member in the process. The Albuquerque Police Department was notified and will continue the investigation. The subject is Hispanic, in his 20’s, and approximately� 5’7″. He wore a dark shirt, dark pants, and royal blue shoes. He also has a tattoo of the number 79 on his right cheek.
