On 2/14/2022, at approximately 6:40 p.m., a grab and run occurred at a retail jewelry store. An unknown male subject approached the store earlier in the day and worked with a different team member, browsing gold chains. The subject later returned while another team member was working on an ear piercing with a guest. The subject became agitated and aggressive towards the team member and demanded assistance since he “already was here earlier and know what I want.” When completed with the ear piercing, the team member assisted the subject who requested to see two gold chains, but was only shown one at a time. When the first one was secured, the subject requested to see a chain. The subject was handed the chain, then grabbed the chain and said “thank you” as he walked away from the store. The subject left behind a stolen credit card as well. The subject was described as White. and in his late-30’s to early-40’s. He is approximately 6′ 1″, and has a thin build. He has several scabs on his hands/face, and short facial hair. If you have any information regarding this subject, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org or 212-687-0328.
