DISTRACTION THEFT – ANNAPOLIS, MD

On 2/10/19, at approximately 3:50 p.m., two subjects entered a jewelry store and looked at bridal sets. Several rings were presented from an unlocked case. During the presentation, one of the subjects reached over the counter to view a ring in the light. While the sales associate’s eyes were averted, the subject reached into the case on the other side and removed a pad of 12 rings from the case. The subject concealed the items in his hat and then left the store. The theft was not discovered until the following day. The first subject was described as a 45-year-old Black male. He has a medium build and a beard. The second subject is a 45-year-old Black female. She has a large build. The third subject is a 45-year-old male. He has a medium build.
