ARMED ROBBERY – CHARLOTTE, NC

On 4/1/16, a suspect told an employee that he wanted to look at charm bracelets. As soon as the employee turned her back, the suspect put a gun to her back and said “This is a robbery.” The suspect first asked for cash but was very nervous once he was at the cash register. He then began asking the employee if the store had sensors and if she was sounding an alarm. He then turned his attention to the jewelry. He took the employee to the back and tied her hands with a pair of zip ties. The suspect told the employee, “I have five kids, I have no other choice.” He then proceeded to steal jewelry. The suspect was dressed in all black and wore a baseball cap. If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact Crimestoppers at 704-334-1600
