ATTEMPTED SMASH & GRAB – TAYLOR, MI

On 9/9/19, at approximately 2:35 p.m., two subjects entered a jewelry store. The first subject was armed with a sledgehammer and a second subject wore gloves and a surgical mask. He also carried a bag. The first subject smashed the front of the gents diamond rings showcase. After he was unable to breach the case, he moved to another ring showcase. He smashed the front of that showcase. Before he could gain access to the jewelry, mall security arrived and the subjects fled. The subjects carried a red duffle bag and a surgical mask. They were seen fleeing into an older model white Chrysler 300 with Michigan plates.

The first subject is 6 feet tall. He has a dark complexion and a medium to heavy build. He is approximately 250 lbs. He has short braids in his hair.

The second subject is 6’3” and has a thin build. He weighs approximately 170 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a hood pulled over his face. He also wore a surgical mask.
