
Brooklyn, NY– On 4/12/2025, at the 86Th street mall, a jewelry store reported a grab and run. A lone male suspect entered the store. The suspect reportedly only spoke Spanish. The suspect alleged he was interested in looking at gold chains. The employee presented a chain to the suspect and then returned it to the showcase. After discussing the chains, the suspect requested to look at another gold chain. After displaying the item, the suspect picked up the chain and immediately exited the store. A second suspect was waiting on a scooter parked on the sidewalk in front of the store. The suspect jumped on the back of the scooter, and they drove away. No injuries were reported. The New York Police Department was notified.
Suspect(s) Description:
Suspect 1: Male, Hispanic, 5’, 20 to 25 yrs, thin build, wearing a black knit hat, black puffer jacket, black hoody, black pants, and black & white sneakers.
Suspect 2: Male, unknown, wearing a helmet with face shield, black jacket, light colored pants. Blue Scooter.
