On 8/20/17, at approximately 2:00 p.m., a suspect stated she wanted to exchange her girlfriends rope chain. The sales associate removed a chain from the case and handed it to the suspect. At that point, another customer asked a question and the sales associate lost sight of the merchandise for a moment. The suspect then told the sales associate that the tag had fallen off. The suspect said she needed to discuss the exchange with  her girlfriend and handed the merchandise back to the sales associate. The associate then placed the item back into the display case. Approximately thirty minutes later, the associate returned to the case and was going to put the tag back on the chain, but realized the chain was switched. The suspect was described as a 25-year-old Black female. She is 5’5″ and weighs 155 lbs.
