Collegiate Athlete Stole More Than $500K From Jewelry Employer

Burlington, MA – On March 8, 2023, 19-year-old Ariel Foster was arrested in her dorm room at Lasalle University. An investigation into Foster started on February 22, 2023. The investigation revealed she profited hundreds of thousands of dollars by marking up the price of items sold at the jewelry store where she worked. She would then refund the difference to her credit card.

Foster made eight transactions over the course of 3 days at the jewelry store where she worked. Foster, who had studied criminal justice, used the ill-gotten proceeds to purchase a $35,000 Tesla, $20,000 for a hotel in Maui, Hawaii, approximately $6,000 in fees at Delta Airlines, and close to $5,000 spent on a Louis Vuitton purse.

Foster was a track athlete at Lasalle University. Her information has been removed from Lasalle University’s roster of track athletes. Watch the videos below to learn more about this crime.
