On 9/23/19, at approximately 7:56 p.m., a subject entered a retail jewelry store. He stated he wanted to get a 10-year anniversary gift for his wife. The subject inquired about getting a necklace to match a ring. He slid his card in the credit card processing machine three times and was prompted to manually enter the card. The sales associate selected yes on the point of sale to manually enter the card. On the following day, the store received a call from a customer stating their card was used fraudulently at the store for the exact amount of the transaction. The subject was described as a 40-year-old Black male. He was last seen wearing maroon scrubs.
