New York Diamond District jeweler robbed by gang members

New York, NY – On October 7, 2021, while a jeweler was leaving a business dinner at a restaurant in New York City, he was approached by two gunmen as he walked to his SUV parked on the street.

The subjects demanded the jeweler to take everything off. At the time, the jeweler told the New York Post he wore three diamond-and-sapphire chains, a diamond pendant, three diamond bracelets, and a diamond-encrusted high-end watch.

The subjects escaped with approximately $150,000 worth of jewelry. They are believed to be members of a group that refers to themselves as OED, which is an acronym for Own Every Dollar.  The group is affiliated with a gang called the Trinitarios in the Bronx, NY. The jeweler believes he was targeted through his Instagram account. This group is believed to be responsible for 12 robberies. Click here to learn more.
