DIAMOND SWITCH – LOMBARD, IL

On 10/26/19, at approximately 4:14 p.m., a male subject entered a jewelry store and requested to see diamond earrings. A pair of 0.5-carat earrings were presented to him. He then requested to see two-carat diamond earrings. Before the new earrings were presented to him, the subject stated he was going to call his brother and sister. The subject’s brother and sister walked in shortly after. The sales associate presented the initial subject with the two-carat diamond earrings. The subject then tried them on. The sales associate felt uncomfortable with several questions being asked, and then asked for the earrings back

Once the subject handed the earrings hack, the associate noticed they were not the same earrings. The subjects then fled from the store.  The first subject was described as a 5’9” Hispanic male. He weighs 180 lbs. and was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a black hat. He has facial hair. The second subject is a 5’9” Hispanic male. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, faded black jeans, a black baseball hat, and black shoes. He also has facial hair. The third subject is 125 lbs., 5’6” Hispanic female. She has dark black hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie with black writing.
