DISTRACTION THEFT – EFFINGHAM, IL

On 9/10/16, at approximately 12:05 p.m., two suspects were shown gold chains by a sales associate. The sales manager noticed the sales associate had four items out on the presentation pad at once. The manager used a code word and stepped in to secure the merchandise. The two suspects then said they would come back later. After the two left, the theft of two items was discovered. The first suspect is a Hispanic male in his early 20’s. He wore a white shirt with grey jeans. He has dark hair with blonde tips. The second suspect is a heavy set Hispanic female in her 50’s.
