DISTRACTION THEFT – GLEN BURNIE, MD

On 6/20/19, two subjects entered a jewelry store with an infant in a stroller. The subjects asked to look at earrings, then gold bracelets and finally gold chains. During the presentation, both subjects conversed with the sales associate at the same time. The subjects asked to see different pieces of jewelry. Although only one piece was shown at a time, there was enough of a distraction that the sales associates didn’t realize merchandise was not returned to her. Both subjects were described as Middle Eastern females. The first subject is 28-years-old and has a thin build. She wore her hair pulled back and spoke with an accent. She also wore a black robe. The second subject is 5’4” and 27-years-old. She has a medium build and had dark hair pulled back. She also wore a black robe and spoke with an accent.
