DISTRACTION THEFT – MOORESTOWN, NJ

On 8/23/21, at approximately 1:24 p.m., two subjects entered a jewelry store and were greeted by a team member. The customers asked to see gold chains and were taken to that case.  While there they were shown several pieces, they were each asking to see different pieces.  The team member did indicate that she had at least 2 pieces out at one time.  The missing chain was one of the pieces that were shown.  When chains were returned to the case, the customers asked to see pendants and eventually looked through a catalog at the other end of the store.  They did not make any purchases during this visit.  On 8/26/21 when case counts were completed, it was determined that a rope chain was missing.

The first subject was described as a Black male.  He is approximately 43-years-old, 5”10”, and weighs 212 lbs. He was last seen wearing tan shorts, a New Orleans  Saints t-shirt, and a Saints ball cap. The second subject is a Black female. She is approximately 40-years -old, 5”8”, and has a slim build with short braided hair and large sunglasses. If you have any information regarding these subjects, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at jsa2jewelerssecurity.org or 212-687-0328.
