DISTRACTION THEFT – OVERLAND PARK, KS

On 2/11/19, at approximately 2:25 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and inquired about rings. The sales associate presented the subject with several options. As the subject was holding the ring, the associate handed off the presentation to one of her colleagues. As they changed seats, the subject palmed the ring in his hand. He stayed in the store for a few more minutes and then left. The subject was described as a Black male in his mid-30’s. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 220 lbs.
