DISTRACTION THEFT – WICHITA, KS

On 05/29/23, a male and female subject approached a jewelry store multiple times during the day inquiring about pieces.  At approximately 4:00 p.m, the couple returned, and the male subject had money visibly in hand, wanting to see a chain and ring.  The female subject also requested to see a ring.  During the presentation, and as the subjects asked questions distracting the team member, one of the pieces was stolen.  Both the male and female subjects stated they did not have the missing piece, and walked away from the store.
