Edison, NJ – On 01/22/26, A jewelry store reported a grab and run theft had occurred at the Menlo Park Mall in Edison, NJ. A female suspect entered the store and approached the counter, at which time the employee went to assist. The suspect showed 2 photos of merchandise she was interested in. The employee told her that they only had one of the items and she asked to see it. While showing her the item she wanted to try it on, the employee requested management join the presentation.. Management proceeded to help her try it, showing a less valued one. When showed the less expense one she grabbed it and ran. There were no injuries. Edison Police Department responded to take a report and will continue the investigation.
Suspect(s) Description: Black Female, mid 20’s, about 5-7”, Aqua pullover hoody with pink ball cap or brim, black jogging pants with white stripes, white sneakers.
