Employee steals jewelry on his first day of work

New York, NY – On June 8, 2017, 24-year-old Michael Raftu was caught stealing jewelry on his first day of work.

Surveillance footage captured Raftu conceal a $7,900 diamond ring by placing it in his pocket. At that point, Raftu left the store and met with his accomplice, 23-year-old, Breanna Bronson.

Raftu instructed Bronson to pawn the ring.

Both suspects were later arrested. Raftu was charged with grand larceny and Bronson was charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
