GRAB AND RUN – CHATTANOOGA, TN

On 2/19/18, at approximately 4:10 p.m., a male subject inquired about a diamond ring. The subject claimed he was getting his taxes back and wanted to purchase an engagement ring for around $1,000. The subject was taken to the bridal cases. He was presented with an engagement ring and placed it on his finger. He then asked to compare several rings but was told he could only see one at a time. At that point, the subject said “I am out of here” and fled from the store with the ring. He was described as a 5’8” Black male. He weighs 160 pounds. He has a thin build and a scruffy face. He smelled of alcohol. He was last seen wearing a forest green Carhartt jacket, a knit cap and jeans.
