GRAB AND RUN – ELYRIA, OH

On 10/31/18, at approximately 10:35 a.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and stated he was looking for earrings for his wife’s 53rd birthday. The subject said he wanted to see single diamond earrings that were princess cut. The associate pulled a pair of 1 ct. princess cut earrings from the display case. The subject then asked the employee for the price. Before the employee showed him the price, the subject asked to see a pair of 1.5 ct. solitaire earrings. At this point, the subject had possession of the princess cut earrings. The subject then grabbed the pair from the employee’s hand and fled from the store. The subject was described as a 47-year-old Black male with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray zip-up jacket and blue jeans.
