On 5/8/19, at approximately 8:45 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and immediately approached the gold counter. He told a sales associate, he was in the store earlier. He asked to see the gold chains he viewed during his initial trip to the store. The sales associate presented the chains to the subject, which the subject tried on. Once he tried them on, he asked the sales associate to hold up the mirror so he could see how they looked. As the sales associate held up the mirror, the subject immediately fled from the store. The subject was described as a 6’7” Black male. He is dark skinned and has a tattoo of sunglasses on his neck. If you have any information regarding this subject, please call the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at 212-687-0328.
