GRAB AND RUN – SUMTER, SC

On 7/20/22, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a jewelry store was the victim of a grab and run theft.  A lone male entered the location and began looking at gold chains.  After looking at several chains, the male stated he needed to go to an ATM.  Prior to leaving, the male asked to see the chain.  The team member removed the item from the showcase and as soon as the male gained possession of the item, he ran out of the store.  During the presentation, a customer profile was initiated at which time the male stated his name was “Evan”.  The subject was described as Black, and in his mid-to-late 20’s. He is 5’9″ and has a medium build,. He has a tattoo on the back of his neck, and he was last seen wearing a blue sweat shirt, pants, a mask, and a hat.
