GRAB AND RUN – TRUSSVILLE, AL

On 12/14/17, at approximately 9:50 a.m., a male suspect asked to see a gents ring. The sales associate removed the ring from the showcase and handed it to the suspect. Once the suspect gained possession of the ring, he fled from the store and entered a burgundy vehicle. An employee of the store provided police with a description of the vehicle. An officer with the Trussville Police Department initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle matching the description. Once the suspect’s vehicle came to a stop, the suspect attempted to flee from his car on foot. The suspect jumped over a cement wall and ran down the tracks. The police apprehended the suspect. He is currently in the Trussville City Jail.
