GRAB & RUN – HAYWARD, CA

On 11/17/19, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and walked directly to the area containing chains. The sales associate showed the subject one of the chains and then gave him a mirror. As the subject tried it on, he asked to see a second piece so he could see how they would look “layered.” The sales associate told the subject that she could only show one item at a time. At that point, the subject fled with the chain.

The subject was described as a Hispanic male in his mid-twenties. He is 5’8” and has a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap and a short-sleeve navy blue shirt with tiny white prints on it. He also wore dark jeans and black tennis shoes. The subject may have a small tattoo or birthmark near one of his eyes. If you have any information regarding this subject, please call the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at 212-687-0328.
