GRAB & RUN THIEF PLACED ON PROBATION – SIOUX CITY, IA

On 6/21/21, 31-year-old Ryan Johnson pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree theft. On 2/1/19, Johnson entered a jewelry store and asked to see two diamond rings. He took them outside to look at them in natural light and then fled with them. On 3/28/19, Johnson went to another jewelry store and asked to see two diamond rings and a loose diamond. After one of the items was removed from a display case, Johnson took them and fled from the store. Johnson was ordered to pay $22,000 in restitution to each store. District Judge Jeffrey Paulson decided that Johnson will spend the next 3 years on probation. Click here to view his mugshot.
