Grab & run thief strikes three times in one month

March 19, 2021 - Portland, OR

On the date listed above, at approximately 5:52 p.m., the subject featured below viewed bridal rings upon entering a jewelry store. The subject exited the store and returned twice. He was impatient due to the volume of customers in the store.

When the subject was offered assistance, he began asking the associate to remove more than one item at a time for comparison. After he was denied access to see multiple items at the same time, the subject reached out and grabbed the ring the associate was holding. The subject then fled from the store.

This appears to be the same subject that targeted two other jewelry stores in Portland, OR on March 3. In both of those incidents, the subject committed grab & runs and targeted bridal pieces.

The subject was described as Black and approximately 5’9″, weighing 180 lbs. He is believed to be 30-years-old.  He was last seen wearing a green coat, a green hoodie, green track pants, and black shoes. He has tattoos on his forehead.
