On the date listed above, Patrick Murphy was found dead in what police are investigating as a homicide.� Murphy’s body was found in a first-floor room of the Empress Hotel in New Orleans, LA. Hotel staff discovered Murphy unresponsive and lying in bed. The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) called Murphy’s death a homicide by cutting; evidently from a stab wound.
Police in New Orleans have secured an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Megan Hall. According to the NOPD,� “police have positively identified Hall as the perpetrator.”�
The New Orleans Advocate has reported that Murphy checked into the hotel room with Hall at 2:00 a.m. on February 28, 2019. Hall was observed leaving the hotel at 4:00 a.m.
