Gilbert, AZ – On November 2, 2017, 34-year-old Charles McKinley Canaday was arrested for armed robbery after a short foot pursuit.
According to Gilbert Police, on September 25, 2017, Canaday entered a jewelry store, displayed a handgun and demanded gold chains. He escaped with $30,000 worth of jewelry. Approximately one month later, Canaday took gold chains at gunpoint from a second jewelry store. The value of items taken from that incident was about $7,000.
