SAN MATEO JEWELRY STORE ROBBERS CHARGED – SAN MATEO, CA

Two suspects have been implicated in an armed robbery of a jewelry store in 2018. The suspects have been identified as 23-year-old Jimmy Brionez and his accomplice Edward Romero. Both men are accused of stealing $130,00 worth of jewelry from the store. On 10/30/18, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the suspects entered the jewelry store and ordered everyone to the ground. As Brionez held a semiautomatic handgun, Romero smashed display cases with a hammer. The San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office has charged the men with 21 felonies. The suspects were implicated in the jewelry store robbery through another armed robbery in Walnut Creek, CA. Romero is in custody on $750,000 bail and Brionez is in custody without bail. Their jury trial is scheduled for 6/8/20.
