SHOTS FIRED IN ATTEMPTED ROBBERY – SAN DIEGO, CA

On 4/2/16, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a group of four males emerged from a vehicle and rushed into a jewelry store. An armed security guard was on duty inside the store. Two of the suspects grabbed the guards arm. The guard was able to break free. He then drew his pistol and took aim at the suspects. The suspects fled and the guard chased after them. At this point, the guard fired shots at the suspects, but missed. The suspects then fled in a Kia Optima with paper plates and a gray Cadillac ATS also with paper plates. Two suspects have been arrested and three remain at large. The three assailants are described as African American men between 5’10” and 6’0.” Each subject was tall, had a medium build and wore a black hoodie and black bandana covering their faces.
