SMASH AND GRAB – LANSING, MI

On 10/12/18, at approximately 2:10 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and examined bridal showcases. A sales associate conversed with him about credit options. The subject said he needed to get his ID and his girlfriend. He then left the store. A few minutes later the subject returned with a second subject. When they entered the store, the first subject removed a hammer from his pocket. He then proceeded to smash the glass showcase. Both subject then removed items from the showcase and fled from the store. Both subjects are described as Black males with light complexions. The first subject is 5’11” and has a medium build. He weighs 200 pounds and has short braids. He also has short scruffy facial hair and a round face. He is believed to be in his 20’s. The second subject is 5’7” and weighs 140 pounds. He has short braids and light facial hair. He has a thin face and is in his late teens or early twenties.
