SMASH AND GRAB – SAGINAW TWP, MI

On 10/22/18, at approximately 3:30 p.m., three male subjects entered a jewelry store. The subjects inquired about where the diamond rings were located. As the clerk showed them the rings, one of the subjects brandished a hammer and began smashing the display case. The subjects broke into the display case and then removed rings. They subsequently fled from the store. Saginaw Valley State University Police and Carrolton Township Police pursued the subjects in their vehicles. Police deployed a set of Stop Sticks which caused the getaway van’s tires to be flattened. Four subjects were arrested. They are all from Southeastern Michigan.
