SMASH & GRAB – CHICAGO, IL

On 12/4/20, at approximately 6:40 p.m., a male subject used a trash can to smash through the side window of a jewelry store. Police responded to the scene quickly. The subject then entered through the store’s broken window. He proceeded to use a chair to smash several showcases. He removed multiple pieces from the showcases and concealed them into his pockets. Once police entered the store, the subject was arrested. No customers were in the store at the time of the incident and no employees were injured.
