SMASH & GRAB – NEW PORT RICHEY, FL

On 8/15/19, at approximately 12:55 p.m., a male subject approached a jewelry showcase inside a mall. He immediately used a hammer-like object to breach the case. The subject then proceeded to remove merchandise. At that point, patrons in the mall began yelling at the subject. The subject yelled “leave me alone” and then fled from the mall. The subject was described as a 28-year-old Black male. He is 5’9” and weighs 200 lbs. He was last seen wearing black pants with a black long sleeve shirt.
