SMASH & GRAB ROBBER SENTENCED TO 7 YEARS – ERIE, PA

On 12/9/21, U.S. District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter sentenced 38-year-old Devon Ashley Edwards to 7 years in prison for his involvement in a smash and grab robbery at a jewelry store in Millcreek Township, PA  on or about 11/19/18. Edwards, along with his co-defendant Roderick Brown; both from Detroit, MI traveled to the jewelry store in Pennsylvania for the purposes of committing the robbery. After entering the store, Edwards yelled for everyone to get down, he and Brown then used hammers to smash display cases and steal jewelry. Edwards was ordered to pay $235,715 in restitution. Brown, who pleaded guilty in August 2020 to a count of robbery is scheduled to be sentenced on 1/25/22.
