SMASH & GRAB ROBBERY MISTAKEN FOR ACTIVE SHOOTER – FRESNO, CA

On 3/9/21, at approximately 6:30 p.m.,  male subject dressed in black approached a jewelry kiosk inside of a mall. He then kicked the glass display case and broke through it. As the subject ran from the mall, he dropped most of the stolen jewelry in the parking lot. The subject was not armed, although bystanders initially mistook the broken glass for gunshots.
