SMASH & GRAB – SAN JOSE, CA

On 1/28/22, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a smash and grab robbery occurred at a retail jewelry store.  A single male subject approached the store and remained for a few minutes, looking at gold chains inside of the showcase.  The subject then stepped back, produced a hammer from his pocket, and began to smash the front of the showcase until a hole was broken in the front.  He then reached in and pulled out a handful of gold chains and ran from the location. The subject was described as a White male in his late teens. He is approximately 5’7″, and has a thin build. He has light brown curly hair, and he was last seen wearing all black clothing, a black mask, and a black Jansport backpack.
