SNEAK THEFT – EATONTOWN, NJ

On 3/20/21, at approximately 12:02 p.m., a male subject entered a jewelry store and requested to look at gold chains. The subject initially requested to look at a $4,000 gold chain. After trying on the chain, the subject returned it to the sales associate. He also requested to look at a rope necklace. He kept switching between the two chains. He also walked over to his sweater which was draped over a chair. The subject stated he was really interested in the $4,000 gold chain, but he wanted a discount. The sales associate reviewed the pricing and credit options. Following their discussion, the subject returned the $4,000 gold chain and exited the store. After the subject exited the sales associate noticed the rope necklace was missing. The subject is a 5’7″ Hispanic male. He has a medium build and is in his mid twenties. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and a zip-up sweater.
