SNEAK THEFT – PORTLAND, OR

On 5/22/18, at approximately 6:05 p.m., a subject approached a kiosk and inquired about gold chains. The sales associate took a gold chain out of the showcase and presented it to the subject. After examining the chain, the subject placed the chain on the counter and asked to see a second chain. The sales associate reached into the showcase to retrieve the second chain. When she was ready to present the second chain, she noticed the first chain was missing. She asked the subject where it was and he stated he put it back.

The sales associate knew she hadn’t and demanded the chain back. The subject claimed he didn’t have it and then left the store. He was described as a 60-year-old Black male He is 6’0” tall and has hazy eyes. He has a mole under his left eye and is missing a front tooth. He was last seen wearing multiple chains and rings.
