SWITCH THEFT – SUMTER, SC

On 7/30/22, at approximately 6:45 p.m. a retail jewelry store was the victim of a sneak theft.  A lone male entered the location and asked to look at gold chains and bracelets.  First, he asked to see a bracelet and then moved to chains.  The male asked to see several different items and then settled on a chain. On two occasions, he acted as if he was putting the chain in his shopping bag, then he removed his hand and stated he was just kidding.  However, shortly after, it was realized the male switched the chain for a different chain.  The subject is White, and in his mid-30s. He has a medium build, and is 5’9” to 5’11”. He has short hair, a mustache, and he was last seen wearing red pants.
