SNEAK THEFT – TRUMBULL, CT

On 5/11/2021, at approximately 6:22 p.m., a lone male subject entered a jewelry store.  The subject was greeted by the store manager who was assisting a guest.  There was a second sales associate assisting another guest.  While both team members were busy, the subject walked behind the counter and picked up a Bulova watch that was on the rear counter. The subject also opened an unlocked drawer and removed empty poly bags.  While still in his possession, the subject walked out of the store with the watch and bags.  Another guest alerted the sales associate, that the subject went behind the counter.  The sales associate witnessed the subject walking away from the store.  The subject saw the team member, dropped the watch, and ran from the mall.  The sales associate recovered the watch, however, the subject escaped. The subject was described as a White male. He is 5’9”, has a medium build, and was last seen wearing a black hat, a black mask, a black jacket, grey pants, and sneakers.
