Subjects commit smash & grab within 40 seconds, FBI now assisting with investigation

Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA – On December 7, 2021, at approximately 5:17 p.m., four subjects parked a car outside of a jewelry store. Three subjects then ran into the store with hammers.

The subjects wore all black covering their faces. They then proceeded to use sledgehammers to smash into the jewelry store’s display cases. They stole jewelry, however, two of the four subjects were arrested. A security guard was present on the scene at the time of the robbery, which scared the subjects.

Update: On the morning of December 8, twelve agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were outside of the jewelry store processing evidence. A 19-year-old identified as Elijah Juarez and a juvenile were arrested for this crime. Watch the video here for more information.
