SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY DURING EMERGENCY – PAIA, HI

On 3/30/20, at approximately 2:55 a.m., a male subject forcefully entered a jewelry store and removed over $100,000 worth of merchandise. Wailuku Patrol provided Crime Reduction Officers with intelligence that a male named Chase was involved in the crime. Investigators later identified the suspect as 37-year-old Chase Mociun.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., on 4/7/20, Crime Reduction Officers executed search warrants. They recovered four pieces of stolen jewelry. Mociun was arrested and charged for burglary of a building in a Civil Defense Emergency, Theft I and Criminal Conspiracy.
